Kibworth Band achieved a fantastic result at this year’s Leicestershire Brass Band Association contest on Sunday (20th November), securing 4th place with a solid performance of James Curnow’s Tittico.
The adjudicators remarks highlighted in particular the very strong soloist performances, as well as the general good balance and effective playing of the band throughout the piece.
The band’s conductor, Brendan Caddy said ” I’m very happy with the result we achieved at the LBBA contest, and even happier with how the band played. We played a fantastic rendition of Trittico, with all of our soloists on top form as noted by the adjudicator.
“The band worked incredibly hard to achieve this, and I look forward to more of the same at the 2023 Midlands area.”
The band will now quickly shift their focus to Christmas, with a number of carolling events and their annual Christmas concert on Saturday 17th December. Find out how to get tickets here
