We are excited for the Leicestershire Brass Band Association Contest tomorrow, Sunday 19th November 2023 at Loughborough Endowed Schools. As we prepare to compete in the first section, we are feeling confident and ready to give it our all. We have been working hard to perfect our performance and we are eager to show the adjudicators what we’ve got.
We have some exciting news to share with you all. Erin, who started playing in our youth band, will be joining us for her first performance as our full time second trombone player. Erin is now a member of Youth Brass 2000 and this will be her very first brass band contest. We are thrilled to have her on board and we know she is going to do an amazing job.
There will be eleven bands competing in total, including The Chalford Band, Eccles Borough Band, Hatfield and Askern Colliery Band, Hathern Band, Kibworth Band, Milton Keynes Brass, Oddfellows Brass Band, Rushden Town Band, Soham Comrades Band, Strata Brass, and Wantage Silver Band.
Our section is scheduled to start at 9:30am. The results are expected to be announced at 1:30pm, so we will have to wait a little while to find out how we did. It’s going to be a long day, but we are ready for it. Best of luck to all the other bands competing and we hope to see you there!
